I still can't figure out why it doesn't work. There's nothing wrong with the
wms sever, I tested it from another GISIf I say no to the credentials the layer
appears to be in right place (if I zoom-to-wms) but I can't see anything.
ede, what do you mean by writing down the advertised url and adding the
credentials? Can I modify the url after I open a layer?I don't see this option
in the edit wms query menu.
And how come you saw a map of Europe from that wms? I don't see a layer
covering Europe.

you can either say 'No' to the advertisement or write down the advertised Url
and add your credentials to it. worked both.
