Hi,
I do not believe that older version would make Spatialite to work. Let's go on
with 3.7.2. If users want to use GeoPackage or Spatialite extensions they will
need to download the native binaries in any case so downloading a new jdbc
driver does not make a big difference. Documenting the need to do so would be
kind for the users.

Hi Larry,
Thanks, but without your work there would have been nothing to write about.
Blog got also mentioned here http://www.geopackage.org/ at the bottom of the
page.
While I am preparing next two blog post about the same topic, could you
consider to update the plugin to come with sqlite-jdbc4-3.8.2-SNAPSHOT.jar
(2014-01-05) instead of sqlite-jdbc-3.7.2.jar? The new one, even a snapshot,
is somewhat official because it can be found from the xerial downloads
https://bitbucket.org/xerial/sqlite-jdbc/downloads
I ask because it is not possible to load libgpkg.dll
https://bitbucket.org/luciad/libgpkg/overview and recent spatialite.dll as
extensions (?spatialite=…) with the included driver version. I can write into
the blog how users can update the jdbc driver but it would be better if it was
not necessary.
