now that there is (seemignly) only SkyJUMP and OpenJUMP left from all 
family, I think this is a very (very, very) good initiative. As I am not 
planning to do any programming the next days anyway feel free to change 
that stuff. May not be so easy...
I hope you have also backward compatibility in mind for old 
extensions/external plugins, that are loaded via the older addMenu..,() 
or so.
