Thanks for the feedback.
As regards the message to the user, I think OpenJUMP is missing a visual
information about the datasource.
I think it would be nice to add an icon in the LayerNamePanel to let the
user know if the data is in-memory, in a local file, or if it comes from a
db or stream (maybe this icon could be located in the same column as
the clock indicating data loading).
