Dear OJ developer community.

I am a new developer that has just joined the community and am hoping to get started with some OJ development.

I have two aims.

1- To use the OJ platform as a host for an application we are looking to build. It will be used to assist in the prevention of global migratory pests. 2- To offer any work we/I do back to the user community in order to advance Open Jump as a platform.

I would like to get the latest stable version of OJ into the NetBeans IDE. So could I start by asking a couple of polite (perhaps simple?) questions please?

1. One of my colleagues has recently downloaded what to appears to the source for v1.5.1 - I have read "how to obtain the source code" and have tried to add this project (v1.5.1) to NB IDE > File > New Project > Java Project with Existing Sources > however I get the following error:

/Package Folder Already Used in Project
The following folders that you selected are already used in this or another project. A package folders can only be used on one project in one package folder list (source packages or test packages).
C:\[my install path\src(owned by OpenJUMP svn snapshot)/

So I am guessing this is locked due to some kind of SVN version control?

2. I then decided to try and download the source code via SVN using TortoiseSVN - I used the path below.

https://jump-pilot.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/jump-pilot/core/branches/stable%201.5/

However I am requested to enter a username and password, so cannot proceed.

My question is as follows.

1. I am doing the correct thing <above>?

if not

2. How (step by step) is the easiest/quickest way to get the source code, please include any items such as best version, URL, username/password, svn or maven etc.

I am sure this is quite simple but for a first time, I thought I would ask as you guys sound very helpful.

Thanks in advance, Chris.
