I wonder if OpenJUMP could be made to open also JPEG2000 images with the ECW plugin. I believe that those dlls which are captured into ecw plugin 0.0.7 do support both ECW and JPEG2000. GvSIG and Kosmo can both open .jp2 images but I do not know if they do if through gdal or somehow more directly.
