What do you think ? I spent much time for 1.4.1 release trying to grab
some information about licensing, but did not find much.
I decided to include ecw dll (these are very old dll, and It seems that
restrictions concern only large image compression and/or server application)
For MrSid, I did not get any valuable information and did not include it.
Any light on this subject is welcome, but I don't want to get troubles
with license problems. I think that keeping OpenJUMP... open is more
important than including all GIS functionnality around there.
- There are now two pan-to-next/previuos-row tool in the attribute window.
Have they some other difference than the icon?
Yes, these buttons has been asked by co-workers to be able to iterate
through a feature list without changing the zoom level. It makes things
easier when you need a bit of context to analyse each feature.
- The codepage selector for opening shapefiles is very good to have but may be
hard for a new user to know that such selection exists because it must be
activated first from the settings.
What do you suggest ? Asking the user each time he wants to load a
shapefile ? Putting this option dialog tab in another option dialog
accessible from the File menu ? Anyway, this should be discussed with
Matthias.
- I want the BeanTools back (with GetWMS_URL included).
Why back . Did it disappeared ?
I just added the GetWMS_URL in the SVN.
What do you think about removing newline charaters from urls passed to
the WMS plugin ? It should be easy. Could it be harmful ?
- How about the nice color picker tool, is it going to be included?
I did not plan to include it before 1.4.2, but if anyone else want to
do, we can wait a bit before releasing.
- The extension manager is rather useless as it is now.
Seems that you agree with Ede on this point. I will just deactivate the
plugin until it is replaced by something more useful

There are some updates to do to language files (remember, missing
translation starts with T\:)
less than 20 translations missing for cz, es, fi, hu, it
more than 50 translations missing for ml, pt, zh and ja
(note that for ml and zh, there are also some key missing,
I'll complete
them soon)
