Since the usual process to read the GPX data from my brand new GPS logger involved download -> gpx2shp -> open the shapes in OJ -> load a WMS in EPSG:4326 -> maybe reproject shape -> open shapes again in OJ -> load the WMS in eg. 31466 I've wanted to have a download -> open in OJ -> reproject in OJ -> load the WMS workflow, and that's what's basically working now. Once I find the time, I'll make a new OpenJUMP package with deeJUMP so everyone can try it out. So far, reprojecting seems quite fast, only running it for the first time is a little slow (the CRS code in deegree 2 uses a huge XML file as database).
