Stefan,
as I was really needing the Thiessen, I did something to solve the problem.
In the class DTriangulationForJTS.java I changed the 2 lines in the
constructor. Instead of
Thus, when the class will use the bbox it is larger the before. However, I
think that we have to correct just passing the bbox of background layer, which
can be choosed by the user. I guess it is easy to solve.

core/trunk/src/org/openjump/core/graph/delauneySimplexInsert/DTriangulationForJTS.java
core/trunk/src/org/openjump/core/ui/plugin/tools/CreateThiessenPolygonsPlugIn.java
the plugin needed to be changed as well, to receive the new input
