   you are right about, the background polygon should be totally covered. We 
used the Thiessen polygons in hydrology to determine the average rainfall over 
a watershed (background polygon).
 
   I'm sending here the correct result, that we should have in terms of 
Thiessen polygons. As you can see, the right part of the watershed is included 
in the Thiessen polygon.
   It would be urgent, because I'm using it to finish a paper, whose deadline 
is the end of this month. If you can do it until there, it would be good.

Well the thing is, that currently the algorithm takes only in account 
the input points. It does not know about the polygon extends. However, 
If something like this is provided it could even ease some assummptions 
  I have done.

(so.. yes one could change that. But I don't have time to work on this 
this week. Is that urgent?)
