Hi, Yes, I did some basic testing with few different databases and didn't find anything breaking. But the tests weren't very comprehensive. I can do more testing if there are any specific things that should be tested.
I'm not aware of any drawbacks nor benefits between asbinary or asewkb. Asbinary is what the postgis reader had originally.
