Hi Michael, thank you for putting my wishes to the feature request! I am changing my OpenJUMP tutorial to OpenJUMP 1.2 and like to describe the core functions and some good plugIns. The SRID plugIn is from Jon Aquino and I improved the PostGIS plugIn. The PostGIS plugIn is not so comfortable but you can write back data to database with correct SRID values.
