Hey @vvcephei , do you think we should ask about cherrypicking this back to 2.6 to help stabilize the release? I thought failing system tests (or regularly failing tests of any kind) automatically block a release because it needs to get a green build to proceed. But I'm not familiar with the release/RM procedure.
