All friends and well wishers of Adibasi, All aspects of ADIBASI life is full of problems and deprivation in spite of long history of their traditions, culture, wisdom and democratic village administration system. As regards EDUCATION, there has been very little real progress since the days of BIRSA MUNDA Ulgulan and Sido Kanhu Santal Hul (revolution) of 1855. Even after Independence of India 63 years ago and creation of Jharkhand 8 years ago only a minority of ADIBASI have benefited with the modern education system. The majority are still illiterate and have never been to school. Education, any education is better than no education.As regards education destroying tribal culture is not quite true.For this the educated tribal are to blame to some extend who have no pride in their culture and identity and have inferiority complex. They try to hide their true identity by forgetting their language, culture and traditions.Apart from this they are not taught in their mother tongue during early stage of their education to develop respect and pride in their language and culture. But education is essential for them to dig themselves out of hole to develop and progress in this modern world without forgetting their language, culture, and age old wisdom passed on by their ancestors.
