Using Jenkins version 1.648. I have three jobs that I am trying to tie together with fingerprints. One spawns the other two. The first child is set up to watch for the second child to complete successfully before promoting it's artifact.
The second job has been giving this output for sometime: "WARNING: <job1> appears to use this job as a promotion criteria, but no fingerprint is recorded. Fingerprint needs to be enabled on both this job and <job1>. See http://hudson.gotdns.com/wiki/display/HUDSON/Fingerprint for more details. (Incidentally, http://hudson.gotdns.com/wiki/display/HUDSON/Fingerprint is no longer a valid link. I had to google to find the equivalent article on Jenkins.) Now this whole time, all three jobs have had fingerprinting turned on, but they were not fingerprinting the same files, so I figured that was were the problem was. However, I have found a common file to fingerprint from all three jobs, but even though the fingerprint reports that all three jobs have it, the above message still does not go away. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Jenkins Users" group.
