Hi,

I configured a Jenkins project B to run when project A
completes successfully. In project B I want to use some artifacts created
by A, so I need some information like the buildnumber. I haven't found any
documentation on how to achieve this, so I put the question on stack
overflow:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/37349380/get-build-number-of-triggering-project-in-jenkins
.

So far, the only answer I got involved changing project A in some way to
make the information available for B. I find it strange there doesn't seem
to be a way to set this up that project A doesn't have to be aware there
are downstream projects.

Is there an option to do this? If there isn't, does the feature make sense?

Wkr,

Tom
