I may be able to help with the Perforce question, but not now to build VB. The workspace (client) field should just be a name that you want to use for the perforce workspace. It should not be a path. Because you have the boxes checked to let Jenkins create and manage the workspace it should automatically create one for you. Note by default it will change the name of the workspace by appending a number to the end of the name you specify. So if you specify a workspace name of my_workspace it will be created as something like my_workspace-63730509.
The error "Unable to check workspace against depot" indicates the user/password is not valid. Weather you use your login or some other login you must provide valid credentials to access the Perforce server.
