It's been 5 days. On Monday I'm going to proceed with the renames I proposed. I suppose this weekend (or sooner if asked), I'll may squash this PR into ~1-3 commits to help reviewers that come late to look at these instead of the 17 now. Maybe I'll separate the noisy lockfile changes. The renames on Monday will be mechanical, done by IntelliJ.
