I base this on: 1) I know your development style. So I have a high degree of confidence going in. 2) The "blast radius" of getting this not perfect is small. We aren't changing a core aspect of Solr. 3) Solr TEN IS COMING BABY! 4) Honestly, who is going to review this besides you, me and maybe @tballison :-(.
