We definitely should retain the current size (count), size (bytes), and warmup time (ms). And I'm assuming we already have searcher creation metrics that could be used to definitively correlate the cache reset event with the cumulative cache metrics. But I question if we need any other metric for the cache that isn't cumulative. Please sell me on that if you think so. OTEL transition has been a time for metrics house-cleaning.
