But that's not thread-safe! Hmm, but each `FixedBitSet` is in a `FixedBitSetCollector` and multiple `FixedBitSetCollector` objects are created via the `CollectorManager.newCollector()` calls and then merged via the `CollectorManager.reduce()` call into a separate joint `FixedBitSet`?
