Uwe Schindler commented on SOLR-16221:
--------------------------------------

Hi,

actually instead of running Solr on s390x arch, it would be better to just run
Lucene builds. Solr is just a server on top, most bugs that are architecture
related can be found with Lucene bugs. Especially as Lucene has all its index
files in little endian, we may find some bugs with missing swaps in the new/old
MMapDirectory code.

So I would prefer to move this issue over to Lucene. Testing Solr with s390x is
more just a test of jetty and zookeeper and a bit of Lucene, but it's better to
test pure Lucene.
