andyhuangdev opened a new pull request, #11789:
URL: https://github.com/apache/ozone/pull/11789

   ## What changes were proposed in this pull request?

Long-lived Ozone clients, including S3 Gateway, cache the OM version at
startup. After ZDU finalization, they continue using the old version and keep
newly available features disabled until restarted.

This change refreshes the cached OM version through service info when first
accessed after a 10-minute expiry. Concurrent callers share one refresh. If the
refresh fails, the client retains the last known version and waits another 10
minutes before retrying.

Client feature checks and newly created output streams use the refreshed
version. Existing streams retain their captured version. Refreshes run on the
calling thread, preserving S3 authentication context without background polling
or server-side changes.

   ## What is the link to the Apache JIRA

   [HDDS-17140](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDDS-17140)

   ## How was this patch tested?

   - Added three regression tests and confirmed they failed before the fix.
   - Added coverage for concurrent refreshes and propagation of the calling
thread’s S3 credentials.
   - TestRpcClient: all 185 tests passed.
   - ./hadoop-ozone/dev-support/checks/checkstyle.sh: passed.
   - git diff --check: passed.
