I really believe the situation is not that simple. Look how many women
fought against the ERA, for example. The whole patriarchal system is a
dysfunctional one, and just like a dysfunctional family, everyone
plays their part in the dysfunction.

Yep. But take a look at the body of world literature, and notice how
many works by women are in existence today. Notice how many works by
men are in existence today. It has always been harder for women to
write and to be published.
