My response is that *if* their chosen deity is all-powerful, then he or
she or it or they can make his or her or its or their case to me directly
and that anything less is dishonest. The [Godwin Alert] called themselves
Christians and so did the folks who were burned at Waco. There are various
Christian, Jewish and Muslim sects doing violence to various other folks
on various parts of the globe. That the best way for them to change my
mind is to go and work some good old-fashioned magic--I mean *prayer*. Go
to a quiet place and ask their deity to make itself known to me -- no fair
praying for me to open my heart as that would be taking away my free
choice.
