I've left jobs before today because I've been unable to do them (not for
lack of skill - for lack of work environment), or felt unsafe doing
them.
If I don't have safe transport to or from work at 9pm, and the company
doesn't seem to care, I'm going to take my sysadminning skills to a
company
which does.
Sometimes it's not 'benefits'. It's simple safety.
