name: jenalyn ^^; nick: nekochan, tekbitch, bi[f]tek, or yurichan(no comment on this one) age/dob: 18, 81sept11 job: droid, wanna-be geek family: 5 red-ear sliders, 1 map turtle, 2 highly intelligent but ditzy cats, 4 gerbils, 2 humans(my roommates), and a cyborg(half works, and is really slow) pets: intergraph interpro 2020 running clix os, 666mhz dec alpha collecting dust(had linux running on it, need to tune it up), imac se(only because it's my fav color, grey.. and running macos9, etc), 386 running redhat, 1 pc running win2k(i'm an official beta tester, aren't we all?), few other pcs with dual boots for redhat, nt workstation, and win2k... oh, and my "router"/"firewall" is a dinky pc(needs to be upgraded soon) running freebsd... i love the lil' demon, but i love my pengitachi(penguin friends) more....(btw, i can't stand those *bsd chics *gaah* at least one of 'em... some are kind of cute ^^;) okiesokies... my pets cause me to keep my apartment down to about 52-65 degrees, any higher and i toast.. i also have to keep my place kind of dark to reduce the ammount of heat created.. thankfully i have a fair ammount of fluorolighting at work(ugggh).. enoughs about the pets.. i prefer nt workstation only for playing tribes, checking my email, and some programming... and heavy graphics and stuff(plus i still don't know if my tablet works under *nix).. fun and all other stuff is *nix.. ^^; but i still don't know how to use clix os.. so i rarely use my intergraph for cad.. i'm still learning all os's.. taking a while since i'm getting aquainted with many at once.. and other subjects.. i'm a "loser", & "lamer" as some people call me(and names do hurt ;_;).. i normally hide at work, and at home.. i've been on my own since i was 16(no parents.. and yes, they're rich but al lthe stuff i've accumilated i did on my own!! my parents despise me somewhat).. i never finished high school, or got my ged(working on that too)... i do hope to attend college, to overkill myself with math and sciences(my favorite subjects besides speech/debate and psycho/socio).. i had taken a lot of college level courses in high school(nto college prep courses).. uhm... i started writing the linux core kernel all over my body till the permanent marker fumes started to kill my brain.. but uhm.. nontechy stuff about me.. i love anime(art style i do semi-professionally), turtles, penguins, exotic animals, foreign languages(japanese, german, swedish, etc), collecting books(why? i dunnos.. i guess i wish osmosis worked), and uhm... i *LOVE* goa, trance, house, ambient, gabber, and happy hardcore.. i'm a "retired" candyraver(mostly because i quit doing drug and such).. and i travel as often as possible.. at least to make frequent trips to san fransisco for shopping and awesome food~ ^^; oh, and i read seventeen, girl, elle, and other stupid mags... of course i have to make up for it by reading the latest linux journal, mac world, programming related mags and 2600(which, latest issue is REALLY lame so i didn't waste $ to buy it).. no, i'm not a cracker(i wouldn't waste my time.. did when i was little, learned my lessons).. but, some have consider'd me a hacker... :shrugs: i don't care... anyhows... sorries for my supa *LONG* intro~ ^^;; take cares and hope to learn more about *nix and you guys =) make friends, learn new tricks, etc =) *wavies baibai* jenjen~ ^^; ************ [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.linuxchix.org
