Actually, Python is used more at Red Hat these days than Perl. There's a
good reason for it, eloquently stated by Alan Cox: you can't guarantee
perl scripts won't break. They have in the past. For this reason, many
programmers consider perl unacceptable for things that need to be
installed on a wide variety of systems.
