some random thoughts about this article:

this point has really stuck with me. i think in many cases it can be
wrong, but more importantly i think this point sums up the problem with
this
article. it assumes that all men want need in life is some bimbo woman
that he cant talk to but cooks and cleans for him. this is the opposite
i have found in my life. my partner is a geek and so am i, and one
thing he loves about me is that he can have geeky conversations with
me. i understand what he is saying and i argue points with him. still
we are there for each other in a supportive role - we hug and kiss, etc,
even while we are coding.

the underlying premise of the /. article is that a geek man needs a
woman to look after him is flawed. it places women back into the
fifties ideal
of the nuclear family. she is there for the man. is that what a
geekboy
really wants? maybe it is their fantasy (i dont know), but they will be
bored soon
enough with that sort of woman.

anyway enough ranting. :)
