I can feel the pain [~jurmous] but I think we should have better boundaries on
the implementation.
With gRPC, there is a StreamObserver which is used to implement async
operations.
https://github.com/grpc/grpc-java/blob/master/stub/src/main/java/io/grpc/stub/StreamObserver.java
Later when we change to gRPC, we could reimplement AsyncTable with the new API.
But that will also be a big project.
