## What is the purpose of the change
`StatusRecorder` does not break out of the for loop after successful status
update in `patchAndCacheStatus`, resulting in a `StatusConflictException`
exception if the spec was modified between the calls, as it will think that the
status was modified externally.
## Brief change log
- Fix the loop to always properly exit on successful status write
- Add tests
