@tillrohrmann I did not include the `shifter =
getBitSize(getRuntimeContext().getNumberOfParallelSubtasks() - 1)` as your hint
only applies for power of 2 values. E.g., `getBitSize(7)` returns 3 and we need
3 bits to cover the range from 0 to 6.
