There are some people who have only a single name. This seems to be true of at
least some Buddhists.
[Or, in the limit, a single character - TAFKAP - but I think that can be
ignored]
"Given name(s)" and "Family name" are perhaps better than "first" and "last",
but may not be entirely universal.
