Hello,

I believe that client should be in the same network with the server in order to make a Coap multicast discovery request. If they are not in the same network then you should consider setting up Iotivity Cloud https://wiki.iotivity.org/doku.php?id=proposal_for_iotivity_cloud, https://wiki.iotivity.org/iotivity_cloud_-_programming_guide. Although it didn't really work for me so far.

Best Regards,

Maria

Hi developers.

I’m trying to communicate client-server in separate network.

A client only know server’s ip address(ipv4 & ipv6). Any other information are not open.

Tried 5683 & 5684 port, but failed.

Client must know server’s port, flags, adaptor info?

Summary : client and server are not connected with same network. Client only know server’s IP address. How to communicate this situation?

All opinions are welcome. Please reply.

Regard,

JH Kim
