If this is the same error, I have seen it as well.  It's not in the
console or stderr.txt file.  It's a popup dialog box that says "Not a
JPEG File: 0x00 0x00".  It happened on a Windows 7, 64bit machine with
a non-admin user.  Running the application as admin did not help nor
did using the 1.36 from the www.ioquake3.org/get-it/ link.
