Still not entirely convinced this bug is major enough to warrant the
delay. It seems right on the edge to me. But since it is on the edge
there will be enough people who think it is major that we probably
should wait on it. Doing a one-week RC8 this week and aiming for
a Dec.3 release seems like a good solution to me.
