In hindsight I still feel PHP5.4 should have been a new major version
which would have allowed a little more stability in the PHP5 stream,
while allowing more flexibility to make changes. I was always fobbed of
with 'It's only a number', but it IS a lot more than that. People are
now referring to a 10 year period for the next major, but 5 year steps
just seem a lot more manageable than 2 to 3 year steps?
