I believe this may be partially due to the fact that github will only show contributors to the default branch (master in our case). There are some other reasons why commits may not be attributed; see https://help.github.com/articles/why-are-my-contributions-not-showing-up-on-my-profile Obviously this was just a very unscientific scan, but worth noting.
