What do you need to get D7 tested under 5.5? I mean once you have a CI
in place, it is not hard to setup one instance to test 5.5.

Waiting the final release of 5.5 won't be of any help, not for Drupal,
not for us.

Why we have to take choices. If you need more resources or some help
to setup testing instances for 5.5 or other, please let me know. But
waiting until 5.5 is out to begin testing is a really bad idea (by
choice or by default).
