Or to say the same thing with different words, the ASF doesn't "release"
binaries at all, they release source code.  AFAIK apachelounge builds
come together with no issues from the released source packages, although
there is sometimes a small delay when they find a flaw, fix, and submit
the fix upstream.  But this doesn't really differ from any other linux
distributor who ships httpd :)
