Bad idea.

I had one #! script that dumped out some HTML first.

I think it was a static-file-generator type of thing.

And the same file was used when no static file was available, as I
recall...

Maybe not, though, as the logic for that would have preceded the #!

God, this was ages ago when webhosts actually almost always gave you
CGI and mod_php was too shiny new to be trusted...
