I have been unable to verify (i.e. works for me) http://bugs.php.net/34955 This is an oddity in a PEAR install apparently on Mac OS X. It works fine on gentoo linux in my tests. Can others try out the make install-pear to see if the problem exists on their platform? I am particularly interested in OS X failures.
