If you're referring to PHP code, I doubt anyone's actually writing PHP without code highlighting, style formatting, heredoc etc. It is formatted, although technically it is still plain text. Also on practice, I've not seen such simple "Agreed" or "+1" kind of replies in the past few discussions - probably because it's impractical.
