I am glad to see that the RFC eventually turned out as originally proposed. It is simple and provides clear and strong guarantees about the origins of string data. While it has its limitations I do see the potential it has as a building block for building strong security guarantees in applications. Success of this feature probably depends on it being integrated in frameworks. If I had a vote I would vote along with framework authors.
