I'm going to start hacking up some instructions for installing PHP4 / PHP5 under FreeBSD 4.X and 5.X.
Would there be a problem if I added a freebsd.xml file as I go along?
No problem for new stuff. For modifications, it is better to provide a diff, since more people might work on it. Or post a notice first if you are going to make significant modifications to some existing file. BTW it would be nice if you could get someone else too to review your new docs, so it is accurate.
Also do not duplicate info for Apache. If the general apache stuff works on FreeBSD, then there is nothing to add. If it only needs additional comments, then a new freebsd.xml is desired. If setting up PHP is so different, then you will probably need to put completely new stuff up (into freebsd.xml).
