Friends: I have an article by Hideo Kimura entitled “The Poetical Construction of the Sāundarananda”. But I cannot find any bibliographic reference: it was probably printed in a collected volume—the page numbers at the footer goes from 752, while the numbers at the header goes from 27. It was probably published in the early 1960s. A footnote of the paper I have gives a reference to another work of his: The etymological explanation of cakya is treated more in detail in "Saun- darananda: Historical Materials and Arranged Construction" by Hideo Kimura, The Ryukokudaigakuronshu, No. 363, October, 1959.
Thanks for any leads, especially from our Japanese friends. Patrick Olivelle _______________________________________________ INDOLOGY mailing list [email protected] https://list.indology.info/mailman/listinfo/indology
