never be part of the main system by default. They lack the same kind of

probably. However, I think there is always that limit practically. As
long as people know that may be the case. So having it in /contrib would
broaden testing by actual end-users for along as there is an easy way
where the bugs found can be logged upstream and track.
I would love to see a more simple procedure to get //extra though.
But that is even more expensive for Sun/Oracle to do so.
