I need more details to help you. Per
http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+on/2008050601
you probably want to take the .mc file from which your old .cf was built
and copy that over, then follow the instructions at the above URL to get
the system to rebuild a .cf for you that will automatically track sendmail
upgrades. If that .cf has problems, let me know (specific error messages
help) and I'll help you work it out.
Thank you John. I've read the info at the above URL and will try it out.
If it works I'll let you know. If not, I'll send you (error) msgs. But
about this resolving issue I mentioned in another message:
Would it be possible that this has something to do with the (know) bug
that sendmail can't find it's unqualified host name?
From the log:
[mail.crit} My unqualified host name (anduin) unknown; sleeping for retry
[mail.warning] unable to qualify my own domain name (anduin) -- using
short name
After that, sendmail is ready for delivery. ;-)
