I've used crossover on linux for years. It take much less time to get Word (a
workplace necessity where we work) up and running on a Pentium III than it
takes to get vbox going on a Dual core AMD 64 with 8 gig of ram. It's reliable
with good support for the supported applications. I renew my support every
time it comes due. Keeps other family happy ... it's a good compromise.

Crossover for solaris is promising but still very buggy. If you've used
cxoffice on any other kind of machine the change would be unnoticeable. But
still not reliable, it did some strange things to my machine. It'll be worth
another look when it get released.
