Unless I'm really messed up..
1) Look at the spec. gcc is hard coded?
2) When I pulled libffi cvs trunk + applied the sole patch that was 
inside the sun package it still needed porting..

Anyway.. I have the patch that resolves this, but haven't had a chance 
to ocnfirm it's correctness..
